Wood family gives library replica and collection to University

This spring Gilliam and Annette Wood and their family celebrated the gift of the Hayes Plantation Library collection and replica located in the North Carolina Collection Gallery of Wilson Library. The Hayes collection, recently donated by the Wood family, is one of North Carolina's most important historical library collections dating back to the 16th through 19th centuries. Gilliam Wood's sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Trent Ragland, funded construction and established a support fund for the replica, a model of the octagonal library in their Edenton family home.
