Skins game to benefit UNC Children's Hospital

Four of the all-time great PGA players will tee off June 21 at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Mebane in a Skins Game to benefit the UNC Children's Hospital.  Participating will be Hal Sutton (winner of the 1998 Tour Championship and 1998 Texas Open), Fred Couples (1992 Masters Champion and 1998 Masters Runner-up), Payne Stewart (1991 US Open Champion and 1998 US Open Runner-up) and Paul Azinger (1993 PGA Champion).   Participants will play for more than $100,000 in prizes.

The UNC Children's Hospital treats more than 74,000 children annually from all 100 North Carolina counties. Although it is the only state supported pediatric medical facility in North Carolina, the hospital still must generate 90 percent of its income from patient fees and other sources. Thus, private gifts and grants are of vital importance.

For information on tournament sponsorships and tickets contact Phifer Crute at the Medical Foundation of North Carolina at 919-966-1201 or 800-962-2543; email: pcrute@email.unc.edu.
